Experience Excellence with IMCC

COMPANY HISTORY

IMCC was established in 1974 as a joint venture between Contracting & Marine Services Co., S.A.K. (CMS) and a consortium of eight esteemed Japanese companies led by Nippon Steel Corporation. In 2006, CMS acquired full ownership of IMCC, making it a 100% Kuwaiti company. Since its inception, IMCC has focused on providing Offshore Maintenance & Construction Services to the Oil & Gas sector, primarily operating in the offshore oilfields of the neutral zone between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait that is managed under Al-Khafji Joint Operations (KJO). Initially, IMCC started with its flagship JAWHARAH I, a 100-ton crane barge equipped for offshore pipeline maintenance. In 1984, this was replaced by JAWHARAH II, a 200-ton crane barge manned by a skilled crew including marine engineers, divers, and mechanics. In 2019, IMCC expanded its capabilities with the acquisition of JAWHARAH III, a 300-ton crane barge fully outfitted for pipe laying, diving, and other marine operations. Over the past 50 years, IMCC has maintained a strong commitment to operational excellence and safety. Our solid technical foundation, influenced by the experience gained from our collaboration with Nippon Steel, ensures our dedication to providing reliable marine services across the Middle East.
